Description

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Hart-Celler Immigration and Nationality Act, which ushered in a new wave of immigration from Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Caribbean, this exhibit explores the cultural diversity that followed. There is a focus on new immigrants and their contributions, and the show's 31 artists represent 25 countries and artistic disciplines from music to cooking and theater and beyond.
