Description

On December 25, the Lower East Side’s Museum at Eldridge Street comes alive for its beloved annual winter concert—a festive afternoon of joyful and soulful klezmer music in one of New York’s most breathtaking historic interiors. This year marks the return of renowned klezmer artist and scholar Yale Strom and his band Hot Pstromi, performing classic Yiddish songs, traditional klezmer melodies, original compositions and rare tunes uncovered during Strom’s field research in Eastern Europe. The performance also celebrates a meaningful milestone: 18 years since Strom led A Great Day on Eldridge Street, when more than 100 klezmer musicians gathered on the synagogue steps just before its restoration was completed.
