Description
Alivin Ailey dance legend Judith Jamison sits down with choreographer Ronald K. Brown for a conversation about the history and legacy of African-American dance followed by a performance from his company Evidence at the newly renovated Billie Holiday Theatre in Bed-Stuy. This retrospective of Brown's impressive, decades-long career will include parts of High Life, inspired by Jacob Lawrence’s The Great Migration, with a score that includes work by Oscar Brown Jr, the JB's, Nikki Giovanni, Fela Anikalapo Kuit and Wunmi.
